The specification for Hereford County Hospital called for a 600m² new built up roof system, 2 new fire escapes, the removal and replacement of air conditioning units, 6 new windows and new plant room doors.
Rio Group faced challenges when it came to craning old fire escapes out and installing new ones near a busy Accident and Emergency Department. Craning a redundant roof mounted plant from a busy parking area and setting up emergency procedures during the fitting of the new fire escape. The challenges were met and handled professionally and with minimal disruption to the running of the Accident and Emergency area.
The demand for high quality waterproofing systems has never been greater. As with all Garland systems, the torch applied systems have been tested to ensure superior resistance to both structural and thermal movement.
The system is suitable for both new build construction and refurbishment and all Garland systems are developed for flat and low slope roofing situations.
