Temporary or permanent hardstanding areas can be designed and installed with consideration of long- or short-term use. We also understand that, on occasion, a rapid response will be needed to assess and deliver hardstanding areas at short notice – this is a service we provide to all our clients to help when required.

- You require a base for a crane? – During enabling works for larger projects, we can provide a temporary hardstanding installation to ensure suitable surfaces are designed and installed to enable you to safely complete your works.
- Parking conundrum? – Your site has established lawned and landscaped areas, but short-term parking is required for a specific project – Sympathetic but effective hardstanding options can be developed to provide surfaces which are required for a short-term basis but also blend in with your surroundings and meet local planning strategy guidelines.
- Need a base for a paystation or EV Charger? – Rio Surfacing work with many national suppliers for parking control and EV charging – we hold a database of standard details to provide bases and hardstandings for current or future installations.
- Cycle Shelters – Encourage your staff to cycle to work when they can – provision of facilities will make this option appealing and also add to your carbon reduction commitment.
- Covered canopies – In addition to covered cycle shelters we will review and suggest options for your outside communal areas/pick up points/meeting areas to provide protection from the elements.
All surface options can be installed to give a cost effective and suitable hardwearing finish in all circumstances. Whether a basic stone or gravel area is required, or a more robust concrete or asphalt/tarmac surface is needed, we will provide the correct detail to complete your hardstanding installation.
