Having completed works at Ridgewood High School previously on several external maintenance and new build projects, Rio Surfacing Ltd were again selected by Stour Vale Academy Trust, via a competitive tendering process, to complete the full refurbishment of the school’s hard-court areas. Due to the scale of the required works and location to the rear of the school a specific and considered method of completion was formulated to ensure all works were completed within the main summer term break of 2023.
The Scheme comprised of the following works:
- Provision of temporary access arrangements and making good on completion
- Removal of perimeter fence and replacement with new V Mesh style units with lockable access gates
- Removal of existing aged and pitted macadam surfacing and replacement with LTA approved and sustainably manufactured proprietary hard court asphalt surfacing
- Installation of approved high friction court marking systems
