Rio Surfacing were engaged by the property management team at Savills UK to complete phase 2 resurfacing works at Bentley Bridge Leisure and Retail Park Wolverhampton. Following the successful delivery of phase 1 car park improvement and resurfacing works in 2019, Rio Surfacing were chosen to carry out the next phase of works at the park in line with client’s instruction to proceed with site wide planned maintenance and investment programme. 15000 m2 of existing car park and approach roadways were prepared and resurfaced over a 4-week period while maintaining full use of the site facilities with the implementation of a strategic traffic and pedestrian management plan.

In association with the main asphalt resurfacing works, a site wide drainage inspection and clearance project was also completed to identify any likely issues and carry out repairs where required. Drainage channel gratings were replaced throughout to ensure the effective operation of the rainwater management system. On completion all areas were fully relined to current standards including the bay markings for newly installed EV charging points, family bays and disabled bays.
