- Multi Storey Car Park Refurbishment
The top deck of the main staff car park is 16,000m², supplying most of the car parking for the 3500 employees based at the Warwick HQ. Divided by a central footpath, the car park is split into two areas (North and South) of approximately 8000m².
Having had issues of leaks over many years, it was decided that the car park needed a full refurbishment and Rio were chosen to carry out the works to replace the waterproofing to the North side of the car park. The works entailed the removal of a rubber latex coating, Block paving and sand bed, Installation of new Outlets and Expansion Joints along with resurfacing the waterproofing with an IKO Permapark Mastic Asphalt system.
The second phase of the replacement of the car park waterproofing to the South Car park happened two years later and again Rio were appointed for these works.
The works were very similar to that carried out on Phase one to the North Car park only on this occasion the lighting to the car park was replaced and we removed some of the concrete planters to the perimeter.
Upon completion a 20 Year Material and waterproofing warranty was issued.
